Sofia Staks

Born On: January  27

I was born on January 7th in Minneapolis, MN in the middle of a blizzard at the University of Minnesota hospital. I was 7 years old when my mother turned me onto tap and ballet lessons in our neighbor's home, who had a studio in her basement. I found ballet to be too rigid, but tap dancing had a lot more freedom of expression and I learned very quickly how to groove with the music.

I was a very shy and sensitive kid in school and felt very inadequate as a student because I had trouble with reading, and the other kids made fun of me. Outside my family, I was pretty much a loner and kept to myself. My parents continued to allow me to study creative movement and yoga in community education. Then dancing was very good for my self esteem.

When I was 14, my mother asked me if I wanted to learn how to belly dance and she thought that was kind of sexy. At first, I said that I couldn't do that because I thought it was dirty. I didn't understand about the artistic side until she finally talked me into doing it. My mother helped me to design and sew my costumes for my shows. So by the time I was 15 years old, I had finally become a professional "bellydancer".

By the time I was a sophmore in high school, I entered into the urban arts program. I was allowed to study modern dance and jazz and earn credits toward graduation. I continued this all the way through high school. This is where I learned how to improvise in dance.

After I graduated from high school, I continued to dance professionally as a bellydancer in the local mideastern restaurants and clubs in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area. I took some time off to have my first boob job. I went from a 32A in a contoured bra up to a large B or a small C at 185cc's. I went back to dance school during the day and began to study Flamenco dance and classical French Pantomime. Later on, I met other performers and musicians who were involved with the Minnestota Renaissance Festival and local performers around the Twin Cities area.

More and more strip clubs began to open up. A friend of mine told me about these strip clubs and that maybe I should give it a try. I thought all the women had to have an hourglass figure and natural tits. I was worried about my scars from my surgery showing. So we checked out a few places in town and saw that I had nothing to worry about. I had never seen so many boob jobs all in one place at the same time! I tried different clubs and decided to stick with the Lamplighter in St. Paul. I felt more comfortable there and the girls were more down to earth than in other places I tried. I bounced around between Minneapolis and St. Paul clubs for a while, then decided to "hit the road" and book myself as a road girl. This is where my Theme Shows developed for feature dancing, not knowing at the time that this is what I would end up doing. I was looking for an outlet for my lifetime training as a dancer. After coming back from dancing on the road, I took time off again to have another boob job. This time I went to 1600cc's, which made me a FF.

Soon, I started to tour as a feature entertainer. My first magazine layout was in Bust Out, in May 1995. I took more time off to go for a third boob job. This time I went up to 2400cc's. I refuse to go any larger. From that point on, I did all the contacts for my magazine layouts. My first year at the Gentlemen's Club Expo was at the Sahara in Las Vegas. I had met other agents that said if I was to get more bookings as a feature dancer, I had to start doing porno movies. This was a very huge decision for me to make. I met Christi Lake, who introduced me to some of the producers in L.A. I got six box covers right off the bat. I soon moved to Las Vegas, and I was close enough to L.A. to commute back and forth for magazine layouts and adult movies.

Since then, I have done over 100 XXX movies and I am a strong believer in safe sex. I have also taken over most of my bookings as a touring adult entertainer.
